Sean Bollettieri-Abdali
Sean Bollettieri-Abdali, owner of The Tennis and Pickleball Club at Newport Beach, is a visionary leader in the world of racquet sports. As the son of 14-time Tennis Hall of Famer and sports icon Nick Bollettieri, Sean combines a rich family legacy with a deep passion for pickleball and tennis. Under his leadership, the Newport Beach club has become one of the premier destinations for pickleball enthusiasts nationwide, boasting 31 pickleball courts and a thriving community of members.
Sean’s journey into pickleball began prior to the pandemic, but it was during this time that he pioneered the creation of the first pickleball club in the country. His love for the sport has since grown exponentially, driven by its ability to foster health, connection, and community. His mission extends beyond the courts: Sean is dedicated to bridging tennis and pickleball, hosting numerous charity events, and creating a welcoming space for people to come together.
With over 30 years of experience in the tennis industry, Sean’s entrepreneurial spirit has led to exciting expansions. He recently launched a new club in Coto de Caza, located on the former Vic Braden Tennis College property, where future plans include upscale lodges for health and wellness retreats. Sean’s vision also includes transforming a facility near the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach into a vibrant hub with 22 championship pickleball courts and a casual social golf experience.
Sean credits his success to his unwavering faith, his supportive community, and a team of dedicated individuals who share his commitment to excellence. His ultimate mission is to make a positive impact by growing both tennis and pickleball, fostering a healthier lifestyle, and giving back to the community he loves. Through his work, Sean continues to build not just clubs, but thriving, connected communities that inspire joy and well-being.
